We don't celebrate Halloween quite as thoroughly where I come from, but I along with three friends once dressed up as mail order brides for an engagement party. And yes, before you ask, it was fancy dress. We wore shockingly white brides dresses and stamped our faces with 'sent' stamps - we actually all ended up looking like zombies as the red stamping looked like bloody gashes.

Nice cards and cute cat! I once went to a party as Wolverine which involved shaving my beard accordingly and sticking foil-wrapped cardboard to my hands. My friends said I didn't make an effort but I had to look like that until my beard grew back!...minus the fake claws of course...

I had some pretty awesome costumes when I was little. One year I went as a killer carrot. Another year I was a sneaker.

Such lovely work as always! Hmm, as for costumes, my mom made my brother and I some amazing ones when we were kids. One year I was an incompetent snake charmer, which meant dressing up in white pajamas & a turban with a home-sewn multicoloured 15-foot long & 6 inches around cobra wrapped and pinned around one leg and winding about my torso, with its head resting on my shoulder. So awesome. My brother was an unfortunate explorer that year - same thing, but in khakis and with a boa constrictor.

Love your postcards! Beautiful work as always... am still trying to decide what to be for Halloween this year. A favorite costume from childhood was a traditional "ghost" costume topped with curly wig and pipe-cleaner antennae. Not sure what I was, but it was fun! Happy Halloween!

One year when I was about 7 I had an obsession with hoboes. So I went as a hobo with a mascara mustache.

These are great! Halloween, for me, is a competitive sport.

I was Sookie Stackhouse last year (from True Blood), I've been Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas (hand sewn my dress), was Audrey Hepburn, but I think my absolute favorite costume was when I went as Hannah Montana. My nieces LOVED it, and so did a bunch of other kids at the mall haha, it was both awkward and heartwarming. Good times.

Ooo! A draw on my birthday!

When I was little I loved dressing up as a witch and one year we found a bristle style broom that I played with for years after! I loved it <3
