Last Saturday was the opening to the duo show "Natural History" at
Gallery 1988: Venice with
Leontine Greenberg and myself. It was a bit rainy but thanks everyone who came and extra special thanks to the fine folks at Gallery 1988.
It was my first time in California and I couldn't have been more thrilled to be there!
Here's a closer link at my pieces in the show. This venue specializes in pop culture shows and so I focused the theme of my paintings to what pop culture is to me. I tend to be on the nerdy side of pop culture...Dungeons and Dragons, Video Games, and Legos are a few of my references that came up in this show.

Beautiful
ReplyDeleteI have to ask, what do you scan your work with? Always looks so fabulous online!
Love the Leggo theme! Congratulations for a terrific show, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteHi Jade,
ReplyDeleteI use a large format scanner. Epson GT-20000. It was pricy but I've been really happy with it, and I no longer have to scan sections of my paintings and piece them together in photoshop. Yea!
Thanks,
Nicole
