This commission was a special treat to do, for a special friend. This charming house with lovely details on the porch, half moon attic windows and adorable scalloped shaped shingles. It is one of the most complex treehouses that I've taken on, and I feel like I never really knew this house until I drew it.

It's amazing how lives can intertwine in a place, and I am glad for the friendships that began in a small Nebraskan city where this house lives, with some the nicest folks I've ever met :)

Tiny Showcase features different artists each week and a portion of the sales of the print goes to a charity of the artists choice. As a pet parent who draws (literally!) so much of my inspiration from my animal companions, I choose Hearts United for Animals as my artwork's charity.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill animal shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization dedicated to the relief of suffering. The organization rescues dogs from all over the country and specializes in long distance adoptions. They take creatures who are lost, afraid, hungry or ill and comfort them, give them a warm, soft bed, good food, medical care and most of all, love. $250 dollars from the sale of this print will be donated to the organization.

Adult Swim show at Gallery 1988

This Friday is the opening to the Adult Swim + Gallery 1988 show!

My fondest memories of the Adult Swim show lineup was when I was in college chilling at night. My favorite show was The Venture Bros. and years later I still yell "GO TEAM VENTURE" before debarking on some random adventure. So I knew I had to do a Venture Bros tribute to good times and a sweet show.

Venture Bros is one of those shows that it's impossible to pick a favorite character. Brock, Dr Venture, Orpheus, Molotov, and Dr. Girlfriend are just to name a few. Good to know that the next season is currently in the works too!

The reception is this Friday, Jan 13 from 7 - 10pm at Gallery 1988 in LA. 

Show runs till February 4th, and there's a sweet lineup of artists.

I'm super excited about my upcoming solo show at the Lux Center here in Lincoln, NE. 

The main feature of the show will be 50 mini paintings illustrating the adventures of woodland creatures.
