Royal Tennenbaums was the very first Wes Anderson film I saw and have since watched it over and over again. There's so many scenes I love but one of my favorites is Margo and Ritchie together in the tent in the living room. It reminded me when I was younger and would set up our tent in the living room and have a camp-out.

Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is a movie I love more and more every time I watch it.
Every character is so interesting and of course Bill Murray as Zissou is amaaazing!

Spoke Art and Beyond Eden Art Fair

This weekend Spoke Art presents the touring exhibit Quentin vs. Coen Round Three at the Beyond Eden Art Fair in East Hollywood. The exhibit will be on display October 1st and 2nd.

I'm very excited to be part of this exhibit and for my contribution I choose Coen's rendition of True Grit. (Despite the fact that snakes really creep me out I just couldn't resist the rattlesnake curled up around the whiskey bottle.)

Red Inspirations

The Carport, 5x7, Gouache & Ink, 2010                               Coral & Pearls, 5x7, Gouache & Ink, 2010

This weeks paintings seem to have the color red in common. After doing a turquoise tree a couple weeks ago...I've been thinking more and more about strangely colored trees. Maybe I'll go through the whole spectrum by the end of the month!

Both paintings are available for sale in my Etsy store.

Etsy Update

I've been adding pieces to my Etsy shop. If you have any requests or would like to commission a piece just shoot me an email. My summer special is a 5x7 painting on paper for $50.00 (plus shipping).
